Last week, we announced our excitement about WellRooted™, an experiential nutrition education tool that provides ingredients, recipes, and education content to individuals newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Over the past week, we’ve been moving with quite some speed to establish the partnerships and infrastructures we’ll need to make this idea happen. Stay tuned over the next few months for more about our progress.
Our eyes are focused on where we’re going, but we’re also taking some time to look at where we’ve been. This includes celebrating the other two ideas we explored during the Ideation Phase. Each idea was grounded in significant pain points identified by our team through conversations with a range of stakeholders and through extensive research into current and emerging models of diabetes management.
There were many reasons we ultimately decided to move forward with WellRooted, but there were also many reasons we could have moved forward with either of the two ideas below. Our process in ideating and prototyping these ideas uncovered insights and feedback from our stakeholders that have been absolutely invaluable. All of this new knowledge will absolutely play a role in the development of WellRooted™, and we hope some of it will also support other entrepreneurs and changemakers working to improve chronic disease in the US.
